Eid Special – Mango Delight Recipe

 

 

In this video, I’ll show you step-by-step on how to make this gorgeous and delicious Mango Delight, a very popular dessert that is perfect to beat the summer heat. INGREDIENTS
• 2 200g packets of cream(of any brand). Alternate can be whipped cream.
• 1 large mango, cubed. Use firm mangoes.
• 1 packet Marie biscuits
• 1 packet jelly powder, preferably in mango flavour
• 397g condensed milk (according to taste)
• 2 cups water

METHOD:

1. Put cream in the freezer an hour before the following steps.
2. Put water in a pot and turn on heat. Right before it begins to boil, add the jelly powder. Mix well.
3. Cook for 5 minutes. Stir every minute.
4. Put a metal spoon in a glass dish to absorb the heat and pour the jelly mixture in. Take out spoon and set aside to cool.
5. Beat chilled cream till light and fluffy.
6. Add 3/4 of condensed milk to cream. Set in freezer to chill.
7. In a seperate 8×9 glass dish, break Marie biscuits into smaller chunks for the first layer. Set aside.
8. Add half mangoes to the cream mixture. Set aside the other half for garnishing.
9. If your jelly is set, cut in cubes and add half to the cream mixture. Set aside the rest for garnishing.
10. Gently mix your cream mixture with a large spoon to avoid breaking the jelly and mangoes.
11. Pour the cream mixture on top of the biscuits.
12. Garnish with mangoes and jelly. Serve chilled.
